Odoo implementation, integration and development

Odoo is a full ERP — modular, open, and built to handle the operational breadth that single-purpose tools can’t. We’re Australian Odoo specialists. Brisbane-based, fixed-fee, and we’ll tell you straight whether Odoo’s the right call before you commit.

What Odoo is

Odoo is a modular business platform — over 30 official modules covering CRM, Sales, Inventory, Manufacturing, Accounting, HR, Project, Field Service, eCommerce and more. You start with what you need (typically 3–5 modules), then add as the business grows. Available in Community (free, self-hosted) or Enterprise (paid, with Studio, mobile, advanced accounting, and Odoo SH cloud hosting).

  • Modular — pick the modules that solve real pain, ignore the rest
  • One source of truth — customer, product, order, invoice, project, all in one database
  • Customisable without breaking it — Studio (no-code) for most field/workflow changes; Python for the deep stuff
  • Open architecture — REST/XML-RPC APIs, webhooks, Make.com/Zapier compatible
  • Per-user pricing — predictable, no hidden module fees on Enterprise

Best fit

Australian SMEs from $1M–$50M who’ve outgrown Xero-plus-spreadsheets, are paying too much for SAP B1/NetSuite, or want one platform across operations rather than 6 disconnected SaaS tools. Especially strong fit for manufacturers, services businesses with project costing needs, and operators running multiple business lines.

Modules we implement

Sales & CRM

Pipeline management, quoting, order tracking, customer portal, sales analytics.

Inventory

Multi-location, lot/serial tracking, replenishment rules, landed cost, barcode operations.

Manufacturing (MRP)

BOMs, work centres, routings, material planning, quality, PLM, subcontracting.

Project & Timesheets

Job costing, billable time, profitability dashboards, project portal.

Accounting

Full GST/BAS-compliant ledger, AR/AP, multi-currency, bank sync, fixed assets. Or stay on Xero/MYOB.

Purchase

Approval workflows, vendor pricelists, supplier scorecards, request-for-quote.

Field Service

Scheduling, mobile app for technicians, parts consumption, job sign-off.

eCommerce & POS

Native storefront and point of sale, integrated with Inventory and Accounting.

HR & Payroll

Employee records, leave, expenses, recruitment. Payroll via approved Australian connectors.

Community vs. Enterprise — which?

Odoo Community

Best for: very simple use cases or businesses with strong in-house developers.

What you get: core modules, free licence, self-hosted only.

What you don’t: Studio, mobile app, advanced accounting, Odoo SH hosting, official maintenance.

Odoo Enterprise (almost always)

Best for: any business doing real operational work on Odoo.

What you get: all official modules, Studio, mobile app, full accounting, Odoo SH cloud, official upgrades and support.

Pricing: per user, per month — predictable for budgeting.

How an Odoo implementation runs

Discovery

Workshop your processes module-by-module, write a fit-gap. Fixed-quote scope out within 2 weeks.

Build

Configure modules, build customisations in Studio or Python, set up integrations.

Migrate & UAT

Master data + open transactions imported. End users test against real scenarios.

Train & go-live

Role-based training, cutover plan, hypercare for 30 days post go-live.

What we also build on top of Odoo

  • MYOB↔Odoo connector — keep MYOB as your ledger while running operations in Odoo
  • Custom modules — when standard Odoo doesn’t cover an industry-specific workflow
  • Make.com / Zapier / Python integrations — for the long tail of SaaS tools that need to talk to Odoo
  • Reporting and BI — dashboards in Odoo, exports to Power BI or Looker Studio when needed

Common questions

How much does Odoo cost?

Enterprise licensing is per-user, per-month. Total cost of ownership depends on user count, modules and implementation effort. We give a fixed-fee scope after discovery.

Hosted or self-hosted?

Odoo SH (Odoo’s managed cloud) for the vast majority of our clients. Self-hosted only for specific compliance reasons.

Can we keep Xero?

Yes. Run Odoo for operations, keep Xero as the ledger. We connect them so invoices and bills flow without re-keying.

How long does implementation take?

3–6 months for a multi-module rollout. Single module focused implementations can be 6–10 weeks.

What if Odoo doesn’t fit?

We’ll tell you in discovery and recommend Cin7 Core or another tool if it’s a better match. We’d rather lose the deal than implement the wrong platform.
