Cin7 Core or Odoo MRP — which?
Cin7 Core (light assembly)
Best for kitting, simple assemblies, food/cosmetics, contract pack, custom configurations. Cloud-native, fast to implement, integrates with Shopify and Xero out of the box. Not built for multi-stage routings or work-centre scheduling.
Odoo MRP (full manufacturing)
Best for multi-stage production, work centres with capacity, real shop floor (PLM, quality, maintenance, subcontracting). Modular — start with manufacturing, add quality and PLM later. Heavier implementation but no licence ceiling.
Best fit
Australian manufacturers, contract packers, makers and assembly shops with $1M–$50M revenue. Especially good fit if you’re juggling QuickBooks/Xero plus spreadsheets, or stuck on an old MRP that nobody can extend.
